All You Need
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) olive oil
- 1/2 lb (250 g) each lean ground beef and ground pork
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) diced green bell pepper
- can (14 fl oz/398 mL) tomato sauce
- package Recipe Inspirations Caribbean Grilled Steak
- 0 Salt to taste
- 16 mini buns or rolls
Heat oil in fry pan over medium-high heat. Add beef and pork. Cook until no longer pink, approximately 5 minutes.
Add green pepper and cook 2 minutes. Add tomato sauce, spices, using crushed red pepper as desired, and salt to taste; simmer 5 minutes.
Toast buns and spoon 1 ½ tbsp (22 mL) of meat mixture onto bottom of bun. Replace top of bun and serve.
Chef’s Tip: Use your favourite ground meat.
