Mashed Sweet Potato with Brown Butter and Coconut Milk

All You Need

  • 4 medium sweet potatoes
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) vegetable oil
  • 3 tbsp (45 mL) Club House La Grille Jammin’ Jamaican Jerk Seasoning, divided
  • 6 tbsp (90 mL) butter
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) brown sugar
  • 1 cup (250 mL) Thai Kitchen coconut milk


  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

  2. Prick sweet potatoes with a fork, coat with oil and sprinkle 2 tbsp (30 mL) seasoning evenly on top. Wrap in foil and place onto grill; cook for 40 minutes or until tender, turning periodically. Remove from heat and unwrap foil.

  3. Cut sweet potatoes in half and scoop out flesh with a large spoon. Place in mixing bowl.

  4. Add remaining ingredients and remaining 1 tbsp (15 mL) seasoning to potatoes and blend until smooth.
