Vanilla Dessert Sauce

This rich, sweet sauce is the perfect topping for a variety of desserts. Try it over fresh or baked fruit, on cake, or drizzled over your favourite ice cream.

All You Need

  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) butter
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) 10% cream
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) sugar or brown sugar
  • 4 tsps (20 mL) Club House Pure Vanilla Extract


  1. In medium saucepan, combine butter, cream and sugar.

  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Continue to simmer gently about 10 minutes, or until sauce thickens slightly, stirring constantly.

  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.

  4. Serve over baked apples, bread pudding, plum pudding, fresh or grilled fruit slices.
