Honey Hickory Onions

Deeply caramelized with an intensified sweetness, these Vidalia onions get a shot of smoky hickory flavour from Club House La Grille Honey Hickory Seasoning. Try as a topper for the Fantastic Flank.

All You Need

  • 1 large sweet Vidalia onion
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) water
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) Club House La Grille Honey Hickory Seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to medium heat.

  2. Slice onions and place on large piece of tin foil. Sprinkle with seasoning and water.

  3. Fold up foil to form a sealed package. Place on grill 30 minutes, or until onions are soft. Carefully remove from grill.

  4. Serve onions with Fantastic Flank.

  5. Test Kitchen Tip: For crispier onions, toss sliced onions with seasoning and 1 tbsp (15 mL) vegetable oil. Place in a flat-bottomed BBQ pan and cook over medium heat for 15 minutes, or until soft and caramelized.
