Spicy Honey Fried Fish

All You Need

  • 4 cups (1 L) oil, for frying
  • 3 lb (1 1/2 kg) whole fish, dressed (Club House Sea Salt Grinder, to season)
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) Chinese cooking wine
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) minced fresh garlic
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) Liquid Honey 375 g Bear Billy Bee Honey
  • 1 1/2 tbsp (22 mL) minced fresh ginger
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) cornstarch
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) Club House Crushed Red Pepper
  • 1 cup (250 mL) Kitchen Basics No Salt Added Vegetable Cooking Stock
  • 3 tbsp (45 mL) light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) black vinegar
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) thinly sliced green onions
