Honey Vanilla Custard Tartlets

These tartlets will delight the senses with layers of honey-kissed sweetness. Bee-licious!

All You Need

  • 2 pkg tart shells
  • 1 pkg (102 g) instant vanilla pudding
  • 3 cups (750 mL) frozen mixed berries, thawed
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) Liquid Honey Billy Bee Honey, divided
  • 3 tbsp (45 mL) each cornstarch and water
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) passion fruit liqueur
  • 2 cups (500 mL) whipping (35%) cream
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) fresh mint, finely chopped


  1. Bake tart shells according to package directions. Cool. Set aside.

  2. Prepare pudding according to package directions. Set aside.

  3. Place the berries and ¼ cup (50 mL) honey in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat.

  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and water until smooth. Add slurry to berries stirring continuously until mixture thickens. Remove from heat.

  5. Stir liqueur into berry mixture. Transfer mixture to a shallow dish. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until cold, or overnight.

  6. Place the cream and remaining honey into a medium bowl and whip to stiff peaks.

  7. Place 1 tbsp (15 mL) of pudding into each cooled tart shell, followed by 1 tbsp (15 mL) of the berry mixture.

  8. Top each tart with 1 tbsp (15 mL) of the whipped cream mixture and chopped mint. Serve immediately.

  9. Chef’s Tip: Substitute the passion fruit liqueur with Grand Marnier, Club House Imitation Rum Extract, Club House Imitation Brandy Extract or Club House Pure Vanilla Extract.
