This year we’re all about ‘me’ time and it starts in the kitchen.

January has come and gone, and we’re settling into the new year with a little extra time to ourselves, thanks to slow-cooked meals. These dishes provide flavour worth the wait! Essentially cooking on their own we have more downtime in the evenings, whether that be for valuable ‘me’ time or moments spent with the family.

Slow-cooked recipes offer little prep time and a whole lot of downtime. Rich flavours develop from hours of melding aromatic spices and delicious ingredients in the oven. Tagines, clay pots and Dutch ovens are the vessels of choice when stewing, braising and roasting.  Traditionally from Northern Africa, tagines are growing in popularity for their ability to deliver savoury meals by combining simple ingredients and ancient spices, like cumin, paprika and ginger.
